Many of our trips are connected to wildlife watching in some way. We both used to be zoologists/ecologists and there's nothing quite like seeing animals in their natural environment. Kate loves large mammals, both on land and in water, and Kris can also be found nose close to the ground looking for insects.

One of our bucket list trips was to go gorilla trekking. Isn't it on yours? We found that Uganda was the cheapest place for gorilla trek permits, so in 2019 we planned a two-week self-drive road trip around Uganda, including lots of wildlife watching along the way.
